Move over, there’s a new restaurant in town. Sour Duck Market is the littlest sister to Odd Duck and Barley Swine, and if you’ve ever dined at any of these establishments, you know they don’t mess around.
Sour Duck Market is a really neat space, with a full bakery and coffee shop inside and an outdoor space with tons of seating, fire pits, and a walk up bar, there is something for everyone. Oh and let’s not forget about the big smoker in the center… You already know those smoky meats are going to be delish!
I had such a blast visiting Sour Duck last weekend and I recommend going for Happy Hour. It runs Sunday-Thursday from 2-6pm, and on Wednesday’s they hold their own Farmer’s Market allowing for local farmer’s to come in and connect with Sour Duck guests. This starts at 4pm, so you can still enjoy the Happy Hour perks!
I can honestly say that I loved every single item I ordered. Since I went during happy hour, I got $6 margaritas and palomas, and a $5 Spicy Pork Sando! This is the best deal ever because the sandwich is amazing, flavorful, and only $5! I also tried the Dirty Fried Rice and the Rutabaga Tater Tots which were killer as well. I do think my favorite though, was the Smoked Brisket Reuben.
Definitely go and give them a visit! They are changing the game with their unique menu and concept. You won’t regret it!
